ABOUT FLORENCE: Florence Campbell is one of the few remaining survivors of the Halifax Explosion which happened December 06, 1917. At the time, Florence Campbell was just 7 years old. She and her mother were renting part of a house from a woman who had just had a baby. Florence Campbell agreed to tell her story to the CBC's Mary Lynk. It's the first time she has told this story publicly.
