PART TWO
Fair Game - Valerie Plame
We started this segment with a clip of actor Naomi Watts playing former CIA-operative Valerie Plame in a new movie called Fair Game.
Fair Game opens this Friday in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver. It tells the story of former CIA-operative Valerie Plame. Her career was destroyed when her identity was made public by Washington Post Columnist Robert Novak. That was on July 14th, 2003 ... just four months after the invasion of Iraq and shortly after her husband -- Ambassador Joseph Wilson -- had publicly challenged the Bush Administration's case for invading Iraq.
It's a story that dogged President George Bush throughout the rest of his time in office and one that still resonates. Valerie Plame was closely involved in the making of Fair Game. She was in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
