PART THREE
Nokia Lawsuit - Panel
Last summer, Isa Saharkhiz was in the middle of all that ... as post-election protests gripped Tehran and violence flared. He's a prominent Iranian journalist and political activist. And during the protests, he spent some time talking on his cell phone. Today, he is in jail. And he blames his cell phone. Or rather, he blames the monitoring system that Nokia Siemens Networks sold to the Iranian Government... a system he alleges Tehran used to track him down, listen to his phone calls and detain him.
With the help of his son Mehdi... Isa Saharkhiz is now suing Nokia Siemens Networks. Mehdi Saharkhiz joined us from New York City. And Tony Rutkowski is the Cybersecurity Rapporteur for the United Nations' International Telecommunications Union. He was in Ashburn, Virginia.
