The Central Newfoundland Morning Show provides national, regional and local news, weather and sports, along with current affairs items and stories of local interest from urban areas and the diverse rural communities surrounding the two towns.

The show keeps in touch with its listeners through several live remote broadcasts held throughout the year and regularly contributes items from Central Newfoundland to other CBC Radio morning shows in the province.

The program connects communities in a very tangible way beginning with its structure. Leigh Anne Power hosts the show from Gander while mobile reporter Kelly Bragg joins her from Grand Falls-Windsor.

The show links up electronically with St. John's, Corner Brook and Happy Valley-Goose Bay, providing news highlights from around the province.

An annual tradition returning to the Morning Show in Central Newfoundland

Open House: Gander-Grand Falls/Windsor
The Morning Show threw open the doors in Gander and Grand Falls/Windsor just before Christmas. Listeners were invited in to listen to "live" music. The Exploits Jazz Band in Grand Falls/Windsor and the Gander Academy Teacher Choir in Gander. Visitors were also treated to drinks and snacks.

A Christmas Carol
The Avion Players and St. Martin's Senior Choir held a successful production of Charles Dickens "A Christmas Carol" on Dec 10th.
