He began his musical career as the front man for the rock and roll band White Heat. Joe Coughlin returns to sing with the WSO.
Those of us who have lived here long enough remember a time when local bands were playing every night at clubs right across the city. One of the more popular bands back then was called "White Heat". It's lead singer was Joe Coughlin.Well, it's obvious that White Heat never made it to the big time and Joe never became the next Robert Plant. But he did stick with music...shifting gears and making a very successful career singing the classics...songs like Come Fly With Me, The Way You Look Tonight and My Baby Just Cares.
Tomorrow night and Sunday afternoon Joe Coughlin performs with the Windsor Symphony Orchestra in it's opening concert of the 2011-2012 season.
