Esprit started with the most humble of beginnings. In the summer of 1992 with a bundle of desire to run the world's greatest rafting trips. Back then Esprit owner Jim Coffey only had two rafts but managed to take almost 500 people down the Ottawa River that season.
Since then, Esprit has kept its small trip size, but has expanded to offer the Petawawa, Magnetawan, Kipawa and Gatineau rivers as well as winter adventures in Costa Rica and Mexico. Add a variety of canoe trips in the Algonquin Park and the Pontiac with riverboarding and kayaking instruction and two decades later Esprit has emerged as the Ottawa Valley's adventure travel leaders.
Esprit was ranked #1 for "Best Outfitters on Earth" by National Geographic. Their goal is to run the world's greatest and most sustainable rafting trips.
