Barbara Gordon began her career on stage in Vancouver over 40 years ago and has played on most of the stages across Canada - a great way to discover the country and collect friends from sea to sea. Her most recent stage work has been in Toronto with Nightwood Theatre's "The Happy Woman", Canstage's "Tout Comme Elle" and Mirvish Productions' "Calendar Girls".
Her latest film work has included two recent TIFF participants Empire of Dirt and Still Mine, indie Unlucky, and old favorites Men with Brooms, Skinwalkers, Hypercube, and Dead Ringers.
Continuing roles on Canadian television series, aside from the glorious fun on The Best Laid Plans, have ranged from Road to Avonlea, Traders, This is Wonderland and Little Mosque on the Prairie, to guest spots on Life With Derek, Todd and the Book of Pure Evil, and many TV movies.
Barbara Gordon lives in Toronto with her husband Douglas Rodger and has two children, Dougal and Melody.
