Bishop Spong was the Episcopal Bishop of Newark, New Jersey until his retirement in 2000. His latest book is called Eternal Life: A New Vision: Beyond Religion, Beyond Theism, Beyond Heaven and Hell. Also: God's Telescope, a documentary by science journalist Dan Falk. Dan travelled to a mountaintop in Arizona to visit a Jesuit astronomer working at the Vatican Observatory.
