Tapestry won a Gold World Medal at the New York Festivals this week for Preachers Who No Longer Believe in God. The show tells the story of pastors who have lost their faith. Some are still working in churches, preaching sermons, and counseling believers. They say they do not have the skills for a new job and, in some cases, are unable to confide even in their families for fear of what their newfound disbelief may do.

Tina Pittaway came up with the idea. Mary, Nicola Luksic (Senior Producer), Paolo Pietropaolo  (Audio Mixing), and Dave Field (Technical Production) worked with her on it.

The program is incredibly moving and raises unfathomable questions that upon hearing, one can only be grateful not to face. We are so thankful to those who took part in the program and braved the risk of sharing their stories.

The show is based on a study out of Tufts University lead by Daniel Dennett and Linda LaScola. Their work inspired The Clergy Project, a safe haven for active and former clergy who do not hold supernatural beliefs.
