Today, of course, is Remembrance Day.
A day to honour those who've served our country in times of war and peace, and remember the sacrifices of all those who have died.
Many of us have never experienced war, and thankfully so. But because of that, it's easy to take our freedom and peaceful society for granted.
You can be sure our veterans don't take it for granted. They know know the cost of defending our way of life and human rights.
From the fallen soldiers, to the ones who've made it home, war can leave emotional and physical scars which can haunt a soldier and their family forever.
So, with that in mind, pause for a moment of silence today to remember the courage and sacrifice of all those who've served Canada.
To commemorate Remembrance day, we've put together 11 songs to remind us of the price many have paid, from generation to generation.
Have a look and a listen. We've included links to the lyrics of each song, as well.
