VIDEO OF THE DAY: Parazit's Subversive Iranian Satire - Now Available In English!

February 17, 2012

Last month, U.S.-based broadcaster and comedian Saman Arbabi was in the red chair, talking to George about Parazit, the Farsi-language TV show he and his fellow Iranian expat Kambiz Hosseini use to talk about events in their homeland and parody the regime in Tehran.

The show has found a following, particularly among opposition activists, in Iran itself, where viewers access it on DVD bootlegs or illegal downloads. But while Parazit is filmed in Washington, D.C., it has never been available in English - until now.

The latest episode has been uploaded to YouTube with English subtitles, so if you don't speak Farsi, you can still watch Arbabi and Hosseini's blend of humour, politics and commentary on events in Iran.
