It's blowing up again - Mount Etna, on the southern Italian island of Sicily, is Europe's most active volcano. This pic was taken yesterday, during the mountain's 17th eruption since the beginning of this year.
With the darkness of the night hiding the mountain, it looks less like an eruption, and more like the sky is splitting open and releasing a river of flames. Luckily, no casualties or property damage have been reported as a result of this eruption.
