TIME Magazine photographer Alessio Romenzi has embedded himself with members of the resistance to the regime of President Bashar Assad in Syria, following fighters with the Free Syrian Army and staying with people in a rebel-held area of Homs.
He has been using his proximity to the resistance to document the current conflict in Syria from the rebels' perspective, and has a stunning photo essay available for viewing at TIME's Light Box website.
