What Does Ronnie Hawkins Have To Say About Partying With Pierre Trudeau And John Lennon?
submit to reddit

Ronnie Hawkins is a legend in our music history, having introduced rockabilly to Canada when he moved here from the Deep South in 1958. The 78-year-old is also a legend for his rock 'n' roll stories. And what could be more rock 'n' roll than partying with the prime minister?

In this clip, The Hawk tells George about the time that he, John Lennon and Yoko Ono smoked marijuana with Pierre Trudeau.

Here's what he had to say:

RH: "The prime minister had his own stuff. I'm not kidding you, baby. And it was almost as good as John's."

GS: "Wait, you got stoned with Pierre Trudeau?"

RH: "Well, I don't know whether he did or not, but I certainly did."
