For this edition of The Debrief George discussed the military pullout from Afghanistan, Toronto Mayor Rob Ford's new opponent Olivia Chow, and Brian McKeever's performance at the Paralympic Games.
George also brought up the level of funding Paralympic athletes receive.
"You're behind Team Canada, I'm behind Team Canada, we know the government is behind Team Canada... pretty much everybody," said George. "Ehh, the corporate world is there a little bit, but could probably kick in a little more and that's the opinion of some former Canadian Paralympians.
"They say that while some companies are stepping up — CIBC, Bell, Petro-Canada, HBC, Canadian Tire, Air Canada, Pfizer — there's still a long way to go before the corporate world matches its contributions to the able-bodied Olympians."
