For this edition of The Debrief, George talked about #FREEAJSTAFF, explained how the British government's surveillance agency GCHQ spied on Yahoo users and made note of the peculiar inconsistencies in the statements of Toronto politicians Rob and Doug Ford.
George used these examples to explain why journalism is important.
"Journalism is important is because without it the politicians would say whatever they want," said George. "And when anybody's in a position of public influence you can be damn sure they're going to use it, but you cannot be sure they'll use it for good."
