When actor Josh Gad, Toronto Star music writer Ben Rayner and TV and radio host Pay Chen were on The Panel, the topic of the day was "music videos."
Gad really dug a-Ha's "Take On Me" video.
"Oh, the animation was so amazing," said Gad. "I remember loving that song and when I saw him go into that painting I was just like, 'This is the coolest thing ever.'"
Rayner felt tingles of confusion from a Billy Idol video.
"I remember being somewhat traumatized by the Billy Idol video for 'Catch My Fall,'" Rayner said. "Because he was in the shower, in his leathers, soaping himself up. And that was kinda confusing to a potentially sexually confused 10-year-old from rural New Brunswick."
Meanwhile, a Cyndi Lauper video made Chen contemplate her social life.
"Cyndi Lauper's 'Girls Just Want To Have Fun' made me feel like I didn't have enough friends," said Chen. "But I love that video and she was so cool and she was standing up to her parents."
