Throw a log on the fire, drown yourself in eggnog and turn up this year's festive special.
When Michael Bolton was in the red chair recently he told George that putting together the mega-hit parody song "Jack Sparrow" with The Lonely Island required lots of time and effort to get done.
First, Bolton had to be able to embrace the ridiculousness of working with Island-ers Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone.
"Yeah," told George. "To an extent you have to make fun of yourself to do something with the Lonely Island guys. Their brand is shock and humour at their every expense. What works is when you commit to it. It pays off each scene."
Then, Bolton and The Lonely Island had to agree on a version of the song that wasn't too offensive.
"The first meeting in Los Angeles at a hotel conference room and I was sitting across from the three of them and I said, 'My daughters are so excited that I’m here.' And Andy Sandberg said, 'My mother is going nuts.'
"I said, 'I read your treatment and I really want to work with you guys but, this is so nasty, I can’t do it.' The first treatment was pretty vile. Funny. But not to my core fans who would probably just go, 'Why?'
"I said, 'Can you tweak it?' They said, 'We can do that.'
"I figured they’re really too busy and about two weeks later, Andy Sandberg emailed me. (I thought) 'Oh, this is funny,' but it’s actually nastier. 'Great that you spent more time on this but please go in the opposite direction so I can do this!' And its just six-seven months pass and I’m in Atlanta and I get an email and I go, 'Oh, I can do this.'"
The rest, they say, is the tale of a pirate so brave on the seven seas...
