Jon Montgomery, an Olympic gold medal skeleton racer, told his best story ever about escaping from the back of a police car.
After a long drive, a speeding ticket and a late-night meet-up with friends, Montgomery ran afoul of a police officer in a parking lot who intended to serve him with a ticket for consumption in a public place.
"When he put me in the back of the car I immediately began to look for ways to escape," said Montgomery. "I crawled from the back seat through the tiny window between the front and the back seat, into the driver's seat and headfirst out the driver's window — which happened to be open — and collapsing on the pavement and sprinting all the way home after that to my friends standing across the street cheering."
