The 'I'm Getting Arrested' App

Protesting wealth disparity? Getting arrested? Want to let your best friend/mother/lawyer know but you don't have the time to rattle off three separate texts? There's an app for that.

Developed specifically with Occupy Wall Street protestors in mind and available at the Android Market, the "I'm Getting Arrested" app is described by the enterprising folks at Quadrant 2, Inc. as being: "Inspired by a real Occupy Wall Street incident. Free to the other 99%."

The app is essentially a mass text message service for Android devices. Protestors fearing the worst can create a custom message before hitting the park or setting out on a march, and then, if things go south, a single tap of the app's bulls-eye sends that pre-written text blast to the people who the app user has identified as their loved ones/legal representation.

As mentioned above, this particular app is only for Android devices. But not to worry! If you're packing an iPhone at your OWS protest and the cuffs come out, perhaps Siri can take care of the situation?
