The guy who posted this video came up with a perfect title for it - 'The Best Goal (You'll Never See On a Highlight Reel)'.

Dale Lowe - a DJ at Kruz FM in Peterborough, Ontario - posted it on his blog as a shout out to the Special Hockey International Tournament.

It was shot at last year's tournament, and as Dale writes: "this video captured an unstaged moment during A Guelph Giants game last year that embodies the spirit of the game."

And hang in for the whole thing, as the big moment happens around the 2:15 mark.

The tournament is held each year for kids and young adults who are developmentally challenged, bringing together teams from across North America and Europe.

This year, it was in Kitchener, Ontario from March 14-16 with the theme being "Yes, I Can".

As it says on the SHI website, this is not a traditional tournament. "There are no elimination rounds, no one team is crowned champion. In our eyes they are all champions. Every team plays 4 games and every player on every team plays equally."
