Engineers Attempt Bold Feat To Free Costa Concordia From Rocks

The Costa Concordia sank in January, 2012 after it struck a rock off the Italian island of Giglio, killing 32. Today, engineers are trying to salvage the cruise ship using a technique called "parbuckling," which involves welding huge steel boxes to the side and filling them with water until they're heavy enough for the ship to right itself.
