Michele Landsberg & Stephen Lewis On Feminism

When Michele Landsberg was a young student at the University of Toronto in the early 1960s, the idea that a woman could write a decent -- let alone a great -- novel was not only unheard of, it was laughable. But she not only fought that fight in public, she apparently fought it in private too -- trying to turn her husband of almost 50 years, Stephen Lewis, "into a human being."
