'Colour Me' Examines Black Identity

Check out this documentary from director Sherien Barsoum: it's called 'Colour Me', and it features Anthony McLean, motivational speaker, actor, rapper, and former host of CBC's kids' program 'The X'. The film follows McLean as he takes a group of teens in Brampton, Ontario through a five-month process of asking tough questions about the stereotypes that surround the black community.

Anthony is the child of a white mother and a black father from Sharon, Ontario. The film also explores his own relationship with colour.

'Colour Me' is screening this Saturday at 7 p.m. at the TIFF Bell Lightbox in Toronto. Check out the trailer below:
