One of our guests on the show tonight, Siddhartha Mukherjee, recently wrote a thought-provoking article for the New York Times Magazine about death and how different cultures approach it. You can read it here.

It's a beautiful piece of writing: "Mounds of ash and marigold and wood chips are floating all around the boat. There is a man standing by one of the fires and facing the boat, with his arms still taut, as if holding the body - except he is holding air."
