Funny Videos Of Athletes Wrecking Trophies

Any of you watching sports shows have probably seen this already. But we had to show it again. After Finland won the World Hockey Championships the other day, they went back home to celebrate. They put their trophy at the bottom of the stairs to their plane. But their goalie Pasi Nurminen might have been celebrating too much because this happened...

Or, if you prefer another angle...

Yes, he dented the trophy... with his skull. I've heard of goalies standing on their head... but not like this. Now, the reason we showed this is because this isn't the first time something's happened to a coveted sports trophy.

Remember a few years ago, when the captain of the Spokane Chiefs dropped the Memorial Cup?

Or when Chris Chelios accepted the Norris Trophy... (skip to the 0:45 second mark)

Then just the other day, Ajax dropped their Dutch league trophy and it got run over by a bus...

How does that happen twice? You can't fault them though. Soccer players aren't used to using their hands.
