Space Oddity: The Children's Book

Now you can introduce your kids to David Bowie's sci-fi side without having to explain that there aren't actually any Spiders on Mars. Illustrator Andrew Kolb has turned Bowie's classic tune "Space Oddity" into a kids' book.

Not only does Space Oddity boast awesome illustrations, it packs an emotional punch as well. Watching Major Tom leave his wife and planet behind for the cold expanses of space, it's hard not to get a little choked up.

Since Andrew doesn't own the rights to the song, he can't sell the book without risking, as he put it, the "swift and sparkly" legal action of David Bowie. But he is offering a free PDF version for download.
