An ATM Machine For Recycling Old Gadgets

You know those charity drop-off bins you can drop clothes into as a donation? Well, imagine if there was a kiosk that you could put your old electronics into and in return, it spits out money. That's what a startup company in San Diego called ecoATM is doing...

Its machines offer cash incentives for people with dated gadgets collecting dust in their basements.

Right now, the company has about 15 kiosks in the southern California area. And in one year of testing, it says it has recycled more than 50,000 devices.

But, they won't say how much it costs to produce each kiosk or how much money it makes on recycled devices.
