Air Canada's enRoute Film Festival

Ever get tired of the same old Hollywood movies when you're on board an airplane? Well, here's something to watch for...

Air Canada is asking Canadian film students, and up and coming filmmakers, to take part in its 5th annual short film festival. Each year, a jury selects the best short films to be screened on Air Canada flights. The winner of the Best Short Film gets $5,000 in cash. There are also awards for Achievement in Direction, Achievement in Cinematography and Achievement in Animation.

Donald Sutherland, Jason Priestley, Denis Villeneuve, Dan Aykroyd and Remy Girard have all been part of the jury in the past. This year's jury will be announced in the summer.

There will also be a free public screening and awards celebration in Toronto at the end of the year. Submissions are being accepted until May 31st.
