Remember that phenomenal Halloween costume from U.S. Paralympic ski racer Josh Sundquist? The one where he was dressed as a pink flamingo, with his whole body inverted and his one leg up in the air as the bird's neck and beak? (Sundquist lost his other leg from bone cancer.) 

That's what leapt to mind when we came across these photos from French photographer and art director Patrice Letarnec. For his series "Head Over Heels," he dressed up his subjects in topsy-turvy outfits, with the tops on the bottom and the bottoms on top. He then photographed them posed in handstands around Paris, resulting in an uncanny, not-quite right-side-up image.
