It's Christmas today, which means a lot of people will be getting together with family to enjoy a delicious holiday feast.
And let's face it: no one can cook that feast quite like a grandmother. There's a certain magic touch that a lot of grandmas have (it may have something to do with wanting to spoil their grandkids silly), and it just makes their food taste better.
That may be a stereotype, of course.
But photographer Gabriele Calimberti's Italian grandmother is definitely the kind of woman who wants to make sure her grandson is well fed. Before he set out on a couchsurfing tour around the world, she told him she was worried he wouldn't eat enough home-cooked meals.
She didn't have to worry. As he travelled, Gabriele met grandmothers in countries across the globe, and got shots of them with a signature dish. He gathered the shots in this collection, 'Delicatessen With Love'.
Just a little something to get you in the mood for whatever kind of feast you're planning tonight, whether it's Chinese take-out or turkey with all the fixings. And a reminder to treasure the grandmothers of the world.
