Arcade Fire, Drake and Shad are among the artists whose videos were shortlisted today for the Prism Prize, a national, juried award that honours artistry in Canadian music videos..
The prize was established in 2012 to celebrate excellence in Canadian music videos, and handed out its inaugural award last year to Rich Aucoin's "Brian Wilson is A.L.i.V.E.". It's judged by members of the Canadian film and music industries and members of the media and comes with a $5,000 award — and a big party on March 23 in Toronto.
This year's nominees include the directors Anton Corbijn, who has worked with U2 and who directed the critically acclaimed Ian Curtis biopic Control, and Marc Ricciardelli, a former editor and producer on George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight.
