The Clash’s ‘London Calling’ Album Turns Into Biopic

Rock lovers might want to sit down for this...

Okay, in what might be the most exciting music news of the year, BBC has reported that a biopic, named after the iconic 1979 album, is officially in the works.

Bandmates Paul Simonon and Mick Jones will executive produce the film, and playwright Jez Butterworth (best known for his play, Jerusalem) will write it.

If you're wondering what the plot is about, the film will focus on the story of how producer Guy Stevens helped the band create their most respected record.

No word yet on the cast, but considering they've got Simonon and Jones at the wheel, you can rest easy knowing the team will make good choices.

Can't wait for this thing to come out... As you can see by my office wall below, I'm obviously a huge fan.
