Steve Jobs, Remembered in Tweets
October 6, 2011
submit to reddit
Tributes continue to pour in for Steve Jobs. An innovator, a visionary, a CEO, a showman - Jobs co-founded Apple, the world's largest technology corporation, and turned Pixar into one of the most successful film studios of all time. He was 56.

His death spurred the biggest online reaction in the history of the internet; social media monitoring firm SR7 said roughly 10,000 tweets about Jobs were posted every second last night, which eclipses the previous tweets-per-second (we'll abbreviate it as "tps" from now on) record set by Beyonce's pregnancy announcement at the VMAs in August (8868tps).

Here are a few of those tweets we've gathered from around the web.
