Chris Landreth's animated short film Subconscious Password jumps off from a situation we're all familiar with: Charles, the protagonist, meets an old acquaintance at a party but just can't remember his name.

From there, things get a little bit stranger. Landreth takes us into Charles's brain, where we witness a riff on the classic game show Password, only the participants include Charles's super-ego and Sammy Davis, Jr.

Landreth produced the short, which is playing at this year's Sundance Film Festival, with the National Film Board of Canada. He won an Oscar in 2005 for another short, Ryan.
