Do we change as we get older? Well, physically, we do, as these portraits from London-based photographer Ana Oliveira prove.
But maybe some things don't change at all - like the person behind the face.
It's hard to say for sure, but these side-by-side comparison shots from a series called 'Identities' offer a fascinating glimpse at the passage of time.
The portraits on the left were all taken decades ago - the oldest ones were snapped over 60 years back.
The portraits on the right were staged by Oliveira to capture the same pose and basic look of the original. The only major difference is the age of the subject.

There have been a lot of projects featuring old and new photos side by side recently.
