PBS: The Movie - Saving The World From Reality TV

It's no secret we're living in an era of Reality Television, although you have to wonder sometimes what passes as "reality".

Whether its 'Honey Boo-Boo' or 'Jersey Shore', 'The Real Housewives' or 'The Kardashians', 'Dance Moms' or 'Toddlers and Tiaras' - it seems the more superficial and voyeuristic a show is, the more popular it becomes.

Well, in an effort to save the world from this neverending sea of stupidity, we present this video from 'Gritty Reboots'.

It's a "trailer" for 'PBS: The Movie', a parody inspired by the 'The Avengers'.

In 'PBS: The Movie', "Carl Sagan", "Bob Ross", "Bill Nye" and "Mister Rogers" team up to "inspire young generations to be scientists, teachers, and artists".

As the folks at Gritty Reboots write, "we live in a world where the little news we hear of schools, research, and the arts is when they're laying their heads on the chopping block. We live in a world where celebrity and reality entertainment is winning the war for our attention."

"We do need superheroes in our world. Super men, women (and puppets), like those actualized by PBS... But those heroes will not appear unless we create them."
