New Flag Ideas For Australia
January 26, 2011

Happy Australia Day!!!

Here in Canada we have a lot in common with the land down under.

Of course the one big difference between us and Australia... they still have the Union Jack on their flag.

But for years now, there has been a lot of support for Australia to have their own flag. The main group behind the movement: Ausflag, even had a contest to design a new flag in 2000. And this won...

But Australia is too proud a nation to have their flag look like a three year old's sticker collage.

So I have some other ideas of what Australia's flag could be...

It could represent "Throwing Shrimp on the Barbie."

It could represent Australia's most hated export...

Or their other most hated export...

Another actual option Ausflag has been pushing is this....

But if you're going to go for it, the Kangaroo and the hot sun aren't enough.

You need a flag with EVERY Australian stereotype...

And while they're at it - New Zealand could get their own flag too...
