Mr. D Is Pretty Sure He’s A Better Hockey Player Than The NHL’s First Overall Draft Pick

You know that teacher who told you to follow your dreams no matter what and reach for the stars? Mr. D is not that teacher.

The character, played by comedian Gerry Dee, gives some advice to a couple of his students in this sneak preview of the third season: don't rely on hockey to provide a solid future.

Of course, Mr. D is unaware that one of those students is Nathan MacKinnon, the Canadian forward who was selected first overall in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. MacKinnon now plays for the Colorado Avalanche, and chances are his salary will work out to a little more than what Mr. D's earning.

Watch out for the third season of Mr. D starting in early 2014.
