Internet For Robots?
February 10, 2011
submit to reddit

Scientists in Europe want to give robots their own internet to communicate and teach each other what they learn about us.

Is this a good idea? Why don't we just give rocket launchers to bears and teach sharks how to drive nuclear subs. You don't equip your natural enemies with the tools to defeat you.

Yes, robots are our natural enemies and eventually, they will rise up and crush us all. That's a given. It's the subject of all the best 'Terminator' and 'Matrix' movies. But why do we have to design the very system, that they'll use to plot against us?
