Well , today's the big day.

The National Hockey League is finally back and the season kicks off on Hockey Night In Canada, with a Saturday tripleheader:

Ottawa at Winnipeg 3pm ET

Toronto at Montreal 7pm ET

Anaheim at Vancouver 10pm ET

Today's broadcast is a history making one for Hockey Night In Canada, as it officially marks the start of its 60th season.

Of course, times have changed over those years - with Hockey Night now on your TV, laptop, tablet and smart phone.

Plus, you'll be able to connect and share the game-day experience using the Hockey Night in Canada: 2nd Screen.

The 2nd Screen will bring you the best content from the social media world, keep you up to date on what's happening around the NHL, and test your hockey knowledge.

And this season, you'll be getting a double dose of the one and only Don Cherry.

Along with his usual segment 'Coach's Corner', Don will be on at the end of the 1st period of the Prime West game as well.

And don't forget, Hockey Night in Canada Punjabi is back as well. Plus, you can be part of the nation's hockey talk all season long on Twitter (#HockeyNight), Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest.

To celebrate the start of the NHL season, we came across this video online from The Sean Ward Show.

If you're not familiar with Sean, he's made a series of Superhero parodies that have gone viral.

His new one is called Superhero Hockey - Bane Ends NHL Lockout. It features a team of superheroes squaring off against a team of villains.

Here's the trailer.

You can watch the full game here. Oh, and here are the lineups.

Heroes: Toronto Batman, Spider-Man, Rogue, Gambit, and Toronto Maple Leafs Iron Man.

Villains: Chicago Bane with Toronto's Joker, Mystique, Catwoman, and Deadpool.

Referee: Commissioner Gordon
