Daryl Hannah - along with over 100 other anti-oil sands protestors - was arrested today in Washington at an ongoing sit-in against the planned Keystone XL pipeline.
The pipeline, if built, would carry up to 900,000 barrels of crude per day from Northern Alberta to refineries in Texas. The sit-in started outside the White House August 20th, and since then, more than 500 protestors have been arrested, including Canada's favourite 'Lois Lane,' Margot Kidder.
Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke spoke out against the pipeline on his band's official blog a few weeks ago, and Mark Ruffalo lent his voice to the issue in a Youtube video posted by the people behind TarSandsAction.org. But neither have followed Daryl's lead and put their butts on the line (and their wrists in the cuffs).
