Commuter Train Passengers Imagined As Cartoon Characters
February 12, 2014
submit to reddit

If you're on a commuter train in the UK, you probably don't want to be sitting near Joe Butcher. The illustrator, who goes by the alias (and the Twitter handle) October Jones, has become known for his commuting sketches — drawings of popular cartoon characters that, through the magic of perspective and smartphone photography, he attaches to the heads of his unsuspecting fellow commuters. He has uploaded them to Twitter sporadically over the last two years, along with playful captions. You can check out Butcher's images in the gallery above. Of course, we'd be remiss if we didn't also mention the Kids in the Hall, whose seminal "Head Crusher" sketch pioneered the whole head-manipulation genre — so you'll also find that clip below.
