The 2012 Hot Docs Festival is only days away - it opens this Thursday, April 26 at Toronto's Bloor Hot Docs Cinema with a screening of 'Ai Weiwei - Never Sorry' - and this year's fest includes many films created by Canadian documentarians.

This year also marks the first time the Hot Docs Festival has its own official home, with the Bloor Hot Docs Cinema, which opened on March 12th. As always, films will screen across Toronto at various cinemas in addition to the Bloor, including the Royal Cinema, Isabel Bader Theatre, Cumberland Four, Fox Theatre, Innis Town Hall, The Regent, The Revue, ROM Theatre and TIFF Bell Lightbox.

We've got a list of the docs by Canadian directors that are playing at the Fest below, along with trailers and clips for many of the films. Click the links in red to find out more about the films on the Hot Docs website.
