World Food Day events took place all over yesterday, and George helped out at a Toronto event.

As the UN World Food Programme (WFP) Canadian Ambassador Against Hunger, Strombo hosted a special panel discussion called "Sustainable Food Systems: The Essential Role For Business." Designed to introduce business leaders to ways they might be able to help contribute to the fight against hunger, George and food security expert Sylvain Charlebois, creator of Feeding Nine Billion, Evan Fraser and Gawaher Atif, Deputy Director of Private Sector Partnerships talked about a number of important issues.

Topics included the shocking amount of food waste that occurs worldwide, how businesses can be better at food management and a frank assessment about whether or not there's enough food being produced to feed the world.
