Neil Young once said "I have so many opinions about everything, it just comes out during my music. It's a battle for me. I try not to be preachy. That's a real danger."
Well now, Young has another outlet for his opinions - Twitter. Until now, he has always avoided joining but today word came that he's finally done it.
@NeilYoung plans to take part in Twitter's new #LegendsOnTwitter series, where music icons take questions from their fans.
It launched last week with the @TheBeachBoys. Young's record label says his session will take place in October.
Young already has more than 24,000 followers, but so far the only person he's following is @Judd Apatow.
When Apatow found out, he tweeted "I am the only person @NeilYoung follows. I can't breathe. My blood pressure is dropping. What is happening??!!".
Later he tweeted again saying, "With a shirt off I always look like the guy on a reality show who just lost all the weight but can't lose the flab. Good one @neilyoung?
It's not clear why Young is only following Apatow - whether he's a fan or it was just a random pick to get started.
Neil Young & Crazy Horse have a new double CD coming out on October 30th called 'Psychedelic Pill.' It's their first release featuring all new original material in nearly 10 years.
The video for the first single 'Walk Like A Giant' debuted today on rollingstone.com.
You can also buy the song on iTunes. And the CD is available for pre-order on Amazon.
It'll also be released as limited triple-LP vinyl edition and Blu-ray disc set on November 23rd.
And Young will kick off a two-month North American tour on October 3rd. You can go to his website for all the tour dates.
