Radiohead Gives 'The Island President' Their Music

Mohamed Nasheed, president of the Maldives, is a man on a mission. The upcoming documentary 'The Island President' tells the story of President Nasheed's struggle to raise awareness around the world about the effect that climate change is having on his island nation. Both the film and President Nasheed got a little help recently when Radiohead contributed 14 songs to the soundtrack of the film.

Songs that will appear in the documentary include 'Idioteque', 'Reckoner', 'House of Cards', and 'How To Disappear Completely'. Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke posted a message of support on Radiohead's website last week: "'The Island President' is a film about the Maldives, and the struggle of President Nasheed to get the voice of a small nation heard in the climate change debate. Unless something is done to stop rising sea levels they will lose everything. The country will be under water. Some of our music was used to help tell the story".

President Nasheed was on the show earlier this season talking about his country and the documentary. Check out that interview below:
