With all the hard work at the George Tonight offices, moments of viral distraction are inevitable and completely necessary.
Today 'No Church In The Wild', the latest music video from Kanye West and Jay-Z, surfaced and received some interesting discussion throughout the office. One of our show's producers Naheed described it best: "there's poetry in the violence and it presents the politics without participating in it."
Another similar music video has been circulating with pigs in riot police gear face-to-face with industrial workers, which include a goat, a chameleon and many other animals that create a Godzilla-scale monster. Basically it is George Orwell's 'Animal Farm' is channeled by french group Le Peuple de l'Herbe with a modern 'Occupy' twist. You can watch both below:
