You asked and he answered. In part of CBC Music's 'Your Interview', one of Canada's greatest songwriters Gordon Lightfoot sat down to answer various Tweets and Facebook messages. It has been fifty years since his music first charted across our nation and CBC Music also has two exclusive tracks from his upcoming album, 'All Live' available for streaming.

What would you ask a Canadian music legend? Gordon Lightfoot is coming in for an interview with CBC Music tomorrow, Monday April 16th, and you can submit a question for him. Make it a great one though: only three audience questions will make it into the final interview, which will be published later on Monday.

If you've got something to ask, here's how to submit your questions. The deadline is Monday at 10 AM:

- Send a tweet to @CBC_Music with the hashtag #allGordonLightfoot
- Leave them on the CBC Music or CBC Radio 2 Facebook pages
- Email them to
- Or leave them in the comment section here

And if you're in need of some of Gordon's excellent music, you can check out the videos below, or visit CBC Music's All Lightfoot playlist here. Gordon's releasing 'All Live', an album of performances recorded at Toronto's Massey Hall between 1998 and 2001, on April 24th. Here's a quick tour through some of his other great performances:

The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald (1979)

Early Morning Rain (1969)

Carefree Highway (2008)

Midnight Special (1974)

Me and Bobby McGee (1972)

Canadian Railroad Trilogy (2010)

To encourage thoughtful and respectful conversations, first and last names will appear with each submission to CBC/Radio-Canada's online communities (except in children and youth-oriented communities). Pseudonyms will no longer be permitted.
