Billy Ray Cyrus On His Faith

Billy Ray Cyrus grew up in Flatwoods, Kentucky going to church every Sunday and playing in weekly gospel jam sessions with his family. Faith has always been a big part of what motivates him. In this clip, Billy Ray talks about an experience in his early days at school that led him to pray every single night for years.

Billy Ray's new album is called 'Change My Mind.' It's available now.

Quotes from this clip...

"I started this thing called the nightly prayer. Every night I'd get down on my knees, and I'd pray, every night for years and years I'd pray -- dear God, I know I'm ugly, but please -- I know it's terrible -- please just make people think I'm funny."

"See that tattoo right there? That's supposed to say 'faith.' Of all my tattoos -- 'believe' -- everything else you can read, but that faith is blurry. The guy who did the sleeve was going to correct and I said, you know what? That's pretty perfect for my faith right now."
